I’m writing this article at the eve of trimming my hair. I have this bald spot on the back of my head. And with every picture that is being taken from me, it seems to have grown. I can try to fight it. But this week I decided it is time to cut it. No more combovers for me.
Unless you’re extremely lucky, you’re likely to see some combination of two distinct phenomena happen to the strands atop your head in the next few years: thinning and greying. The former, which affects more than two-thirds of men, can be due to any number of internal factors. Including, most prominently, male pattern hair loss, a genetic condition related to a build up of the testosterone byproduct DHT, which cause hair to thin. And the latter? That’s simply due to the pigment cells in your hair follicles ceasing to produce melanin as you age.
You may be asking yourself why we’re telling you all this. And the point is: there’s essentially nothing, aside from invasive procedures and hormone therapy, that will reverse what’s happening to your hair. Sure, you can try dyeing it, or getting plugs, but wouldn’t it be easier to simply adapt to what you’ve got? That’s not to say, however, that you shouldn’t make the most of it.

I’ll ask my barber for his suggestion. But there are some haircut options for balding guys: clean shave, buzz cut, short caesar cut, shaggy hair, and so on. Or if everything fails, there is this.
There are ways to keep your hair short, embrace the change and still look good. The classic buzzcut is a safe option, while a textured crop can look good with thinning hair. The best idea is to develop a good relationship with your barber. Most of them know a bit about hair loss, but they will know a lot about what hairstyles work for you and how to make you leave the barber shop feeling better than when you came in.

I’m not an adventurous man, so I’ll probably go for the buzz cut.
And at least I still have my glorious full beard. It’s the number one secret on how to look good bald.
A full beard looks great on most guys as well. Learning how to look good bald really isn’t all that difficult if you can grow a beard. A full beard is a great answer to the common question of what beard should I have if I’m bald.
